We would like to inform our guests that we are closed from 18 to 29 August 2019, during this time the restaurant, winebar and bookstore are closed as well. The short rest is due since we are able to recharge after more than a year. Recently we’ve launched the Babérliget Bookstore, the Laurel Budapest fine dining restaurant and also the winebar and tapas bar. We have been working hard for four months to become one of Budapest’s top restaurants.
We would like to thank our guests for the confidence, the many full house nights and the countless positive feedback that has made Laurel the best restaurant in Budapest for two months now on Trip Advisor.
The months behind us have been extremely busy. Our team of outstanding professionalism and experience has been expanded with several distinguished professionals, including Péter Tüü, the two-time Hungarian champion sommelier.
After a summer break, of course, we will be keen to present our menu based on local ingredients in a relaxed environment in the downtown of Budapest.
From August 30th, Kertész Street will be opened during the usual opening hours (Tuesday-Saturday: 6 pm-4pm), and on Saturday August 31st, at the Juliet Victor Winery in Mád, we will provide a gastronomic experience during the Mádi Furmint Celebration.
From September, every two or three weeks we offer thematic programs and wine tastings in the wine bar, about which we regularly inform our guests on our Facebook page.
Our services are going to expand from September, and our wine vault system will also be launched. The Laurel Budapest Wine Vault has 104 registered wine vaults, where we have a constant temperature and humidity, so we can provide the perfect cellar conditions for storing our customers’ wines.
Fine dining restaurant, wine bar and wine vault in the downtown of Budapest
Besides offering a degustation menu and being a fine dining restaurant based on culinary experience, Laurel Budapest is also a relaxed wine and tapas bar which provides its guests a nationwide one-of-a-kind wine vault system.
