The new autumn menu called Golden Days debuts on 1 October at Laurel Budapest fine dining restaurant<\/a><\/strong>. In this six-course autumn tasting menu we would like to prove that autumn is not the season of decay; it is rather characterized by the abundance and richness of ingredients, it is the true season for harvest. The name of the seasonal menu has been borrowed from B\u00e9la Hamvas: in his interpretation the Golden Days is the period when \u201fyou can drink yourself full with the smell of ripeness,\u201d when \u201fnature voluntarily scatters all her fortune.\u201d This atmosphere, these vibes have been again painted for us by Orsi Farkas (Indra Contemporary Fine Art), whose painting called Golden Days has been exclusively designed for our autumn menu.<\/p>\n

Autumn nature\u2019s colourful wealth rich in flavours is exactly what appears in the dishes of our Golden Days menu: venison, root vegetables, Jerusalem artichoke, grapes, pear, truffle. For the new autumn menu our chef, \u00c1d\u00e1m Mede has prepared his own version of the iconic guly\u00e1s (\u201fgoulash\u201d) soup often appearing even in the best restaurants in Budapest<\/a><\/strong>. He plates his own version with intensive oxtail stock and steamed gyoza dumplings filled with oxtail.<\/p>\n

From 1 October we also offer a new vegan tasting menu at Laurel Budapest restaurant<\/strong> focusing on the seasonal ingredients. Although our eight-course chef menu containing our signature dishes has been largely retained in the same form, our chef has made some minor alterations to accommodate the menu to the season.<\/p>\n

Autumn also brings some changes in the menu of Laurel Budapest Winebar<\/strong>, where a new autumn dessert selection is available from 1 October. Our pastry chef has focused on two seasonal fruits, plum and fig in designing the new wine bar desserts. Try them with some exciting wine pairing in our downtown Budapest wine bar.<\/p>\n
